Hello
Welcome to the AIM website where you will find an abundance of resources, contacts and practical advice for independent record labels.
The indies have been busy so far in 2010, and we're looking forward to working with our members and friends across the industry throughout the rest of the year to help independent music companies thrive.
Having held two huge events already this summer, our Music Connected digital conference (the biggest in the UK) and our annual general meeting, we now ease into the slightly quieter summer months. But for members of our sister organisation, the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), it's hectic festival season! We encourage you to stop by the AIF website and find out more about their fantastic independent festival members.
Having campaigned hard in the early months of this year, we were thrilled to hear the recent BBC trust decision to save BBC 6Music from closure. It is a fantastic station, and we hope it will continue to thrive and support great independent music. Have a listen - www.bbc.co.uk/6music

Label of the Month
Our label of the month is NINJA TUNE!
Once again, AIM have got another anniversary in its ranks - Ninja Tune are the latest label to hit a major milestone. Turning 20 years old this year.
When the seminal Coldcut team (Matt Black and Jonathan More) began the label in the early 90's they began to instantly make a name and a noise for themselves in the crowded electronica and Drum n' Bass scene.
In their anniversary year the label is has launched a new website called Ninja Tune XX, which will feature exclusive rarities, re-releases and other goodies for free. This leads up to the release of a special limited edition box set. Until then, you can log onto the Ninja Tune XX site HERE to keep up to date with all of the anniversary celebrations.
